Counting law: A mention = a textual match of the transmitted form after normalization (diacritics stripped, alef unified), at a word boundary, allowing an attached wa-/fa- prefix; compounds match across whitespace; dhu also as dhi/dha. Every count on this page is a count of THAT rule - falsifiable, never oversold as exhaustive semantic coverage. The roster of 99 is transmitted (al-Tirmidhi's riwayah), not adjudicated. Machine-scholar work (9-for-1); human review invited.
