وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ شُفَعَٰٓؤُنَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ قُلْ أَتُنَبِّـُٔونَ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
They worship besides God what cannot harm them and cannot benefit them, and they say: these are our intercessors with God. Say: are you telling God of something He does not know in the heavens or in the earth? Glory be to Him, high above what they set beside Him.
یہ لوگ اللہ کے سوا ایسی چیزوں کی عبادت کرتے ہیں جو نہ انہیں نقصان پہنچا سکتی ہیں نہ نفع، اور کہتے ہیں کہ یہ اللہ کے ہاں ہمارے سفارشی ہیں۔ کہہ دیجیے: کیا تم اللہ کو اس بات کی خبر دیتے ہو جو وہ آسمانوں میں اور زمین میں نہیں جانتا؟ وہ پاک اور بلند تر ہے اس شرک سے جو یہ لوگ کرتے ہیں۔
