هُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُسَيِّرُكُمْ فِى ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا كُنتُمْ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ وَجَرَيْنَ بِهِم بِرِيحٍ طَيِّبَةٍ وَفَرِحُوا۟ بِهَا جَآءَتْهَا رِيحٌ عَاصِفٌ وَجَآءَهُمُ ٱلْمَوْجُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَظَنُّوٓا۟ أَنَّهُمْ أُحِيطَ بِهِمْ دَعَوُا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ لَئِنْ أَنجَيْتَنَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِۦ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ
He it is who carries you over land and sea, until, when you are in the ships and they run with them on a fair wind and they are glad of it, a storm wind reaches them, and the waves come at them from every side, and they think they are encircled by it. Then they call on God, keeping their religion pure for Him alone: if You save us from this we will be among the thankful.
وہی ہے جو تمہیں خشکی اور سمندر میں چلاتا ہے، یہاں تک کہ جب تم کشتیوں میں سوار ہوتے ہو اور وہ خوشگوار ہوا کے ساتھ چلتی ہیں اور لوگ اس پر خوش ہوتے ہیں، تو اچانک تیز آندھی آ جاتی ہے اور ہر طرف سے موجیں انہیں آ گھیرتی ہیں اور وہ سمجھ لیتے ہیں کہ وہ گھر گئے ہیں۔ اس وقت وہ اپنا دین خالص کر کے اللہ کو پکارتے ہیں: اگر تو نے ہمیں اس سے نجات دی تو ہم ضرور شکر گزار بن جائیں گے۔
