وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ نُوحٍ إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦ يَٰقَوْمِ إِن كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيْكُم مَّقَامِى وَتَذْكِيرِى بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ فَأَجْمِعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَكُمْ وَشُرَكَآءَكُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَكُنْ أَمْرُكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ غُمَّةً ثُمَّ ٱقْضُوٓا۟ إِلَىَّ وَلَا تُنظِرُونِ
And recite to them the account of Noah, when he said to his people: my people, if my standing among you and my reminding you of the signs of God is too much for you, then in God I have put my trust. So agree on your course, you and those you set up beside Him, and do not let your course be a thing of doubt among you. Then decide about me and give me no respite.
اور انہیں نوح کی خبر سنا دیجیے، جب انہوں نے اپنی قوم سے کہا: اے میری قوم، اگر تمہیں میرا کھڑا ہونا اور اللہ کی آیتوں سے نصیحت کرنا گراں گزرتا ہے تو میں نے اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ کر لیا ہے۔ پس تم اپنا معاملہ اپنے شریکوں سمیت طے کر لو، اور تمہارا معاملہ تم پر مبہم نہ رہے، پھر میرے بارے میں فیصلہ کر ڈالو اور مجھے مہلت نہ دو۔
