فَلَوْلَا كَانَتْ قَرْيَةٌ ءَامَنَتْ فَنَفَعَهَآ إِيمَٰنُهَآ إِلَّا قَوْمَ يُونُسَ لَمَّآ ءَامَنُوا۟ كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْخِزْىِ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَمَتَّعْنَٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ
If only there had been a town that believed and was helped by its belief, other than the people of Jonah. When they believed, We lifted from them the punishment of disgrace in the life of this world, and gave them enjoyment for a time.
کاش کوئی بستی ایسی ہوتی جو ایمان لاتی اور اسے اپنے ایمان کا فائدہ پہنچتا، سوائے قوم یونس کے۔ جب وہ ایمان لے آئے تو ہم نے دنیا کی زندگی میں ذلت کے عذاب کو ان سے ہٹا دیا اور انہیں ایک مدت تک فائدہ اٹھانے دیا۔
