كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ ٱلْيَقِينِ
No indeed - if you knew with the knowledge of certainty. The commentaries note the sentence is left unfinished on purpose: what would follow from such knowledge is never said, because anyone who had it would already know.
پھر ”کَلَّا“: کاش کہ تم علم الیقین کے ساتھ جان لیتے۔ ”علم الیقین“ وہ پختہ اور حقیقت کے مطابق علم ہے جس میں کوئی شک نہیں۔ ”لَوْ“ کا جواب ہولناکی جتانے کے لیے حذف کر دیا گیا، یعنی: اگر تم واقعی یہ جان لیتے تو جس حال میں ہو اس سے باز آ جاتے اور اپنے آپ کو بچانے میں لگ جاتے۔
