فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ
So woe to those who pray. Both traditions mark this turn carefully. The sura has just charged a man with denying the Judgement by the way he treats the orphan and the poor, and now it turns on people who do pray - so the woe falls on the praying itself, once it is like this.
”پس ہلاکت ہے اُن نمازیوں کے لیے“ — یہاں بات کھلے جھٹلانے والے سے ہٹ کر اُس شخص کی طرف آ گئی جو نماز تو پڑھتا ہے مگر اس کا حق ادا نہیں کرتا۔ انہیں ”نمازی“ کہہ کر پھر ان پر وعید سنانا اس بات کی تنبیہ ہے کہ محض صورت کافی نہیں۔ یعنی ہلاکت نماز پر نہیں، اُس وصف پر ہے جو آگے بیان ہو رہا ہے۔
