بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ إِنَّآ أَعْطَيْنَٰكَ ٱلْكَوْثَرَ
Truly We have given you abundance. Both traditions parse the name by the same grammar - a form built on the root of muchness, so that it means good in great quantity - and both then attach it to the same thing: a river in the Garden, and the pool his community will come to.
”کوثر“ ”کثرت“ سے فَوْعَل کے وزن پر ہے، اور اس کے معنی ہیں وہ چیز جو کثرت میں انتہا کو پہنچی ہوئی ہو۔ مطلب یہ ہے: اے نبی، ہم نے آپ کو دنیا اور آخرت کی بہت زیادہ بھلائی عطا کی۔ اور اس میں وہ نہر بھی داخل ہے جو جنت میں آپ ﷺ کو عطا کی گئی، اور وہ حوض بھی جس پر آپ کی امت وارد ہوگی۔ یعنی یہ لفظ آپ ﷺ کو ملنے والی ہر نعمت کو سمیٹ لیتا ہے، کسی ایک تک محدود نہیں۔
