بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ إِذَا جَآءَ نَصْرُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْفَتْحُ
When the help of God comes, and the conquest. Every commentary on both sides names the conquest the same way, the taking of Mecca, and reads the sura as spoken before it happened - a promise made, not an event reported.
”نَصْر“ سے مراد اللہ کی وہ مدد ہے جو اس نے اپنے نبی ﷺ کو دی، یہاں تک کہ آپ کو دشمنوں پر غلبہ حاصل ہوا۔ اور ”فَتْح“ سے مراد فتحِ مکہ ہے اور اس کے نتیجے میں دین کو ملنے والی عزت اور کلمۂ حق کا بلند ہونا۔ بات ”اِذَا“ کے ساتھ کہی گئی، جو اُس چیز کے لیے آتا ہے جس کا ہونا یقینی ہو — چنانچہ یہ ایک قطعی وعدہ تھا جو واقعے سے پہلے اترا، پھر ویسا ہی ہو کر رہا۔
