وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ إِلَّا رِجَالًا نُّوحِىٓ إِلَيْهِم مِّنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَدَارُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَوْا۟ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
And We sent before you none but men from the people of the towns, to whom We revealed. Have they not travelled in the land and seen what became of those before them? And the home of the life to come is better for those who guard themselves. Will you not use your reason?
اور ہم نے آپ سے پہلے بستیوں کے رہنے والوں میں سے مردوں کے سوا کسی کو نہیں بھیجا جن کی طرف ہم وحی کرتے تھے۔ کیا انہوں نے زمین میں سفر نہیں کیا تاکہ دیکھتے کہ ان سے پہلے لوگوں کا انجام کیا ہوا؟ اور آخرت کا گھر ان لوگوں کے لیے بہتر ہے جو تقویٰ اختیار کرتے ہیں، کیا تم عقل سے کام نہیں لیتے؟
