قَالُوا۟ يَٰٓأَبَانَآ إِنَّا ذَهَبْنَا نَسْتَبِقُ وَتَرَكْنَا يُوسُفَ عِندَ مَتَٰعِنَا فَأَكَلَهُ ٱلذِّئْبُ وَمَآ أَنتَ بِمُؤْمِنٍ لَّنَا وَلَوْ كُنَّا صَٰدِقِينَ
They said: our father, we went off racing each other and left Joseph with our things, and the wolf ate him. And you will not believe us, even though we are telling the truth.
انہوں نے کہا: اے ابا جان، ہم آپس میں دوڑ کا مقابلہ کرنے میں مصروف ہو گئے اور یوسف کو اپنے سامان کے پاس چھوڑ دیا تھا، پھر بھیڑیا اسے کھا گیا۔ اور اب آپ ہماری بات کا یقین نہیں کریں گے، چاہے ہم سچ ہی کیوں نہ کہہ رہے ہوں۔
