وَجَآءَتْ سَيَّارَةٌ فَأَرْسَلُوا۟ وَارِدَهُمْ فَأَدْلَىٰ دَلْوَهُۥ قَالَ يَٰبُشْرَىٰ هَٰذَا غُلَٰمٌ وَأَسَرُّوهُ بِضَٰعَةً وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ
And a caravan came, and they sent their water-carrier, and he let down his bucket. He said: good news, here is a boy. And they hid him away as merchandise, and God knew what they were doing.
ایک قافلہ وہاں آ پہنچا اور انہوں نے اپنا پانی لانے والا آدمی بھیجا، اس نے اپنا ڈول کنویں میں لٹکایا تو یوسف اس سے چمٹ گئے۔ اس شخص نے خوشی سے کہا: خوشخبری ہو، یہ تو ایک لڑکا ہے۔ اور انہوں نے اسے مالِ تجارت سمجھ کر چھپا لیا، جبکہ اللہ خوب جانتا تھا کہ وہ کیا کر رہے ہیں۔
