مَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَسْمَآءً سَمَّيْتُمُوهَآ أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُم مَّآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلْطَٰنٍ إِنِ ٱلْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ أَمَرَ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِيَّاهُ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْقَيِّمُ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
What you worship besides Him are only names you have named, you and your fathers. God has sent down no warrant for them. Judgement belongs to God alone. He has commanded that you worship none but Him. That is the upright religion, but most people do not know.
جن کی تم اللہ کے سوا عبادت کرتے ہو وہ محض نام ہیں جو تم نے اور تمہارے باپ دادا نے خود گھڑ لیے ہیں، اللہ نے ان کی کوئی دلیل نہیں اتاری۔ حکم کرنے کا اختیار صرف اللہ ہی کے پاس ہے۔ اس نے حکم دیا ہے کہ تم اس کے سوا کسی کی عبادت نہ کرو، یہی سیدھا دین ہے، لیکن اکثر لوگ یہ بات نہیں جانتے۔
