ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى رَفَعَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوْنَهَا ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ يَجْرِى لِأَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى يُدَبِّرُ ٱلْأَمْرَ يُفَصِّلُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ لَعَلَّكُم بِلِقَآءِ رَبِّكُمْ تُوقِنُونَ
God raised the heavens with no support that you can see, then mounted the Throne. He put the sun and the moon to service, each running to a term already fixed, and He directs the whole affair and sets out the signs one by one. The end named for all of it is not information but certainty — that you may be sure of the meeting with your Lord.
اللہ نے آسمانوں کو بغیر کسی ایسے سہارے کے بلند کیا جو تم دیکھ سکو، پھر عرش پر استوا فرمایا۔ اس نے سورج اور چاند کو مسخر کیا، ہر ایک ایک مقررہ وقت تک چلتا رہتا ہے، اور وہی سارے معاملے کی تدبیر کرتا اور آیات کو تفصیل سے بیان کرتا ہے۔ اس سب کا مقصد محض معلومات دینا نہیں بلکہ یقین پیدا کرنا ہے، تاکہ تمہیں اپنے رب کی ملاقات کا یقین ہو جائے۔
