لَّهُمْ عَذَابٌ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ أَشَقُّ وَمَا لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَاقٍ
For them is punishment in the life of this world, and the punishment of the Hereafter is harder still, and they have no one to shield them from God. The commentaries read the two together: what falls in this world is not the account settled but a part of it paid early.
ان کے لیے دنیا کی زندگی میں بھی عذاب ہے، اور آخرت کا عذاب اس سے بھی زیادہ سخت ہے، اور اللہ سے بچانے والا ان کا کوئی نہیں۔ مفسرین ان دونوں کو ملا کر پڑھتے ہیں: دنیا میں جو کچھ آتا ہے وہ پورا حساب نہیں بلکہ اسی کا ایک حصہ ہے جو پہلے ادا کر دیا جاتا ہے۔
