وَإِن مَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْبَلَٰغُ وَعَلَيْنَا ٱلْحِسَابُ
Whether We show you part of what We promise them, or take you before it comes, what is on you is only the delivering — the reckoning is Ours. The commentaries read it as lifting from the Prophet a weight that was never his to carry.
خواہ ہم تمہیں ان سے کیا گیا وعدہ کا کچھ حصہ دکھا دیں، یا اس سے پہلے تمہیں اٹھا لیں، تم پر تو صرف پہنچا دینا ہے — حساب لینا ہمارا کام ہے۔ مفسرین اسے نبی سے وہ بوجھ اتارنے کے طور پر پڑھتے ہیں جو کبھی ان کی ذمہ داری تھا ہی نہیں۔
