وَمَا لَنَآ أَلَّا نَتَوَكَّلَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَىٰنَا سُبُلَنَا وَلَنَصْبِرَنَّ عَلَىٰ مَآ ءَاذَيْتُمُونَا وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ
And why should we not put our trust in God, when He has guided us on our ways? And we will be patient with the harm you do us. In God let those who trust put their trust — the sentence closes twice on the same word, and the commentaries read the repetition as the whole answer to a threat.
اور ہم اللہ پر بھروسہ کیوں نہ کریں جبکہ اس نے ہمیں ہمارے راستوں کی ہدایت دی ہے؟ اور ہم اس تکلیف پر صبر کریں گے جو تم ہمیں دیتے ہو۔ اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ کرنے والوں کو بھروسہ کرنا چاہیے — یہ جملہ ایک ہی لفظ پر دو بار ختم ہوتا ہے، اور مفسرین اس تکرار کو ایک دھمکی کا مکمل جواب سمجھتے ہیں۔
