مَّثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ كَرَمَادٍ ٱشْتَدَّتْ بِهِ ٱلرِّيحُ فِى يَوْمٍ عَاصِفٍ لَّا يَقْدِرُونَ مِمَّا كَسَبُوا۟ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلضَّلَٰلُ ٱلْبَعِيدُ
The likeness of those who refuse their Lord: their deeds are like ashes on which the wind blows hard on a stormy day. They gain nothing at all from what they earned — the commentaries name the deeds as the good ones, the giving and the kindness, which come to nothing not because they were small but because of what they were built on. That is the far-gone loss.
ان لوگوں کی مثال جو اپنے رب کا انکار کرتے ہیں: ان کے اعمال اس راکھ کی مانند ہیں جس پر آندھی والے دن سخت ہوا چلے۔ انہیں اپنی کمائی سے کچھ بھی ہاتھ نہیں آتا — مفسرین ان اعمال کی وضاحت اچھے کاموں سے کرتے ہیں، سخاوت اور نیکی سے، جو اس لیے بے کار نہیں ہوتے کہ وہ چھوٹے تھے بلکہ اس بنیاد کی وجہ سے جس پر وہ کھڑے تھے۔ یہی بہت دور کی گمراہی ہے۔
