يُثَبِّتُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱلْقَوْلِ ٱلثَّابِتِ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَفِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ وَيُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ وَيَفْعَلُ ٱللَّهُ مَا يَشَآءُ
God makes those who believe firm with the firm word in the life of this world and in the Hereafter — and both traditions read the second as the questioning in the grave, where the one who held the word answers without stumbling. And God lets the wrongdoers go astray, and God does what He wills.
اللہ ایمان والوں کو مضبوط بات کے ذریعے دنیا کی زندگی میں اور آخرت میں ثابت قدم رکھتا ہے — اور دونوں روایتیں آخرت سے مراد قبر کا سوال لیتی ہیں، جہاں جس نے یہ بات تھامے رکھی وہ بغیر لڑکھڑائے جواب دیتا ہے۔ اور اللہ ظالموں کو گمراہ کر دیتا ہے، اور اللہ جو چاہے کرتا ہے۔
