وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَٰفِلًا عَمَّا يَعْمَلُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ إِنَّمَا يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ لِيَوْمٍ تَشْخَصُ فِيهِ ٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ
And never think God is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only defers them to a day on which eyes will stare fixed — the commentaries gloss the staring as eyes held open, unable to blink, at what they are seeing.
اور کبھی یہ خیال نہ کرو کہ اللہ ظالموں کے کاموں سے بے خبر ہے۔ وہ تو انہیں صرف اس دن تک مہلت دے رہا ہے جس دن آنکھیں پھٹی کی پھٹی رہ جائیں گی — مفسرین اس پھٹی رہ جانے کی تشریح یوں کرتے ہیں کہ آنکھیں کھلی رہ جائیں گی، پلک جھپکائے بغیر، جو کچھ وہ دیکھ رہی ہوں گی اسی پر جمی رہیں گی۔
