وَقَدْ مَكَرُوا۟ مَكْرَهُمْ وَعِندَ ٱللَّهِ مَكْرُهُمْ وَإِن كَانَ مَكْرُهُمْ لِتَزُولَ مِنْهُ ٱلْجِبَالُ
They have schemed their scheme, and their scheme is with God, even though their scheme were such as to move mountains. The commentaries read the first half as the whole answer: the scheming is not denied, it is placed.
