وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أَنْ أَخْرِجْ قَوْمَكَ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ وَذَكِّرْهُم بِأَيَّىٰمِ ٱللَّهِ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَٰتٍ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ
We sent Moses with Our signs: bring your people out of the darkness into the light, and remind them of the days of God. In that reminding there are signs for everyone who is patient and thankful — the two qualities are named together, and the commentaries note that the one who has both is the one who reads history as a sign rather than as a sequence.
ہم نے موسیٰ کو اپنی نشانیوں کے ساتھ بھیجا: اپنی قوم کو اندھیروں سے نکال کر روشنی کی طرف لاؤ، اور انہیں اللہ کے دنوں کی یاد دلاؤ۔ اس یاد دہانی میں ہر اس شخص کے لیے نشانیاں ہیں جو صابر اور شاکر ہو — یہ دونوں صفات ساتھ ساتھ بیان کی گئی ہیں، اور مفسرین نوٹ کرتے ہیں کہ جس میں دونوں جمع ہوں وہی تاریخ کو محض ترتیب کے بجائے نشانی سمجھ کر پڑھتا ہے۔
