رُّبَمَا يَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ مُسْلِمِينَ
There will come a time when those who refuse will wish they had submitted. The commentaries place the wishing on the Day of Resurrection, when they see their own state and the state of those who submitted set side by side; the wish arrives exactly when it can no longer be acted on.
ایک وقت ایسا آئے گا جب انکار کرنے والے یہ آرزو کریں گے کہ کاش وہ بھی فرمانبردار مسلمان ہوتے۔ مفسرین اس آرزو کو قیامت کے دن سے جوڑتے ہیں، جب وہ اپنی حالت اور فرمانبرداروں کی حالت کو ساتھ ساتھ دیکھیں گے، اور یہ آرزو عین اس وقت پیدا ہوگی جب اس پر عمل کرنا ممکن ہی نہیں رہے گا۔
