قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَآ أَغْوَيْتَنِى لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
He said: my Lord, because You let me go astray, I will make what is in the earth seem fine to them, and I will lead them all astray. The commentaries read his method as named in his own words: not force, but making things look good.
اس نے کہا: اے میرے رب، چونکہ تو نے مجھے گمراہ کر دیا، اب میں زمین میں ان کے لیے چیزوں کو خوشنما بنا دوں گا اور ان سب کو گمراہ کر کے چھوڑوں گا۔ مفسرین اس کے طریقہ کار کو اسی کے اپنے الفاظ میں پہچانتے ہیں: زور زبردستی سے نہیں بلکہ چیزوں کو خوبصورت دکھا کر۔
