لَّوْ مَا تَأْتِينَا بِٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ
Why do you not bring us the angels, if you are telling the truth? The commentaries read it as a demand for a different kind of proof than the one already given — angels to stand beside him and confirm him — which is a demand to be convinced on their own terms.
تو ہمارے پاس فرشتے کیوں نہیں لاتا اگر تو سچوں میں سے ہے؟ مفسرین اسے ایک مختلف قسم کے ثبوت کا مطالبہ سمجھتے ہیں، اس ثبوت سے الگ جو پہلے ہی دیا جا چکا تھا، یعنی فرشتے اس کے ساتھ کھڑے ہو کر اس کی تصدیق کریں، اور یہ درحقیقت اپنی ہی شرطوں پر قائل ہونے کا مطالبہ ہے۔
