لِيَحْمِلُوٓا۟ أَوْزَارَهُمْ كَامِلَةً يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ وَمِنْ أَوْزَارِ ٱلَّذِينَ يُضِلُّونَهُم بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ أَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَزِرُونَ
So that on the Day of Resurrection they may carry their own burdens in full, and some of the burdens of those they led astray without knowledge. Evil is what they carry — and the commentaries stress that nothing is taken off the follower to load onto the leader; the leader's share is added.
تاکہ وہ قیامت کے دن اپنے بوجھ پورے اٹھائیں اور ان لوگوں کے بوجھ کا کچھ حصہ بھی جنہیں انہوں نے بغیر علم کے گمراہ کیا، خبردار، برا ہے وہ بوجھ جو وہ اٹھاتے ہیں۔ مفسرین زور دیتے ہیں کہ پیروکار کا بوجھ کم نہیں ہوتا بلکہ رہنما کا حصہ اس پر مزید بڑھا دیا جاتا ہے۔
