لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى يَخْتَلِفُونَ فِيهِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ كَٰذِبِينَ
So that He may make clear to them what they differed over, and so that those who refused may know that they were the liars. The commentaries attach both clauses to the raising itself: it happens in order to settle what argument could not.
تاکہ وہ ان کے لیے وہ بات واضح کر دے جس میں وہ اختلاف کرتے تھے، اور تاکہ جن لوگوں نے کفر کیا وہ جان لیں کہ وہ جھوٹے تھے۔ مفسرین دونوں مقصدوں کو اسی اٹھائے جانے سے جوڑتے ہیں: یہ وہ چیز طے کرنے کے لیے ہوتا ہے جو بحث سے طے نہ ہو سکی۔
