خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ مُّبِينٌ
He created man from a drop of fluid, and there he is, an open adversary. The commentaries mark the distance the sentence crosses in one breath: from the least beginning a person could have, to arguing back against the One who gave it.
اس نے انسان کو ایک قطرے سے پیدا کیا، پھر وہ کھلا جھگڑالو بن گیا۔ مفسرین اس ایک ہی سانس میں طے ہونے والے فاصلے کو نمایاں کرتے ہیں: انسان کی سب سے حقیر ابتدا سے لے کر اسی ذات کے خلاف جھگڑنے تک جس نے اسے پیدا کیا۔
