وَلَوْ يُؤَاخِذُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلنَّاسَ بِظُلْمِهِم مَّا تَرَكَ عَلَيْهَا مِن دَآبَّةٍ وَلَٰكِن يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى فَإِذَا جَآءَ أَجَلُهُمْ لَا يَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ سَاعَةً وَلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ
If God were to take people to task for their wrong, He would not leave a single moving creature on it. But He defers them to a term appointed, and when their term comes they cannot delay it by an hour, nor bring it forward.
اور اگر اللہ لوگوں کو ان کے ظلم پر پکڑتا تو زمین پر کوئی جاندار باقی نہ چھوڑتا، لیکن وہ انہیں ایک مقررہ مدت تک مہلت دیتا ہے، پھر جب ان کی مدت آ جائے تو نہ وہ ایک گھڑی پیچھے ہٹ سکتے ہیں اور نہ آگے بڑھ سکتے ہیں۔
