إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأْمُرُ بِٱلْعَدْلِ وَٱلْإِحْسَٰنِ وَإِيتَآئِ ذِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَيَنْهَىٰ عَنِ ٱلْفَحْشَآءِ وَٱلْمُنكَرِ وَٱلْبَغْىِ يَعِظُكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ
God commands justice and doing good and giving to relatives, and forbids indecency and what is wrong and transgression. He instructs you so that you may take heed. The commentaries treat the āyah as gathering the whole of conduct into one sentence, three things ordered and three forbidden.
بے شک اللہ انصاف اور احسان اور رشتہ داروں کو دینے کا حکم دیتا ہے، اور بے حیائی، بری بات اور زیادتی سے روکتا ہے، وہ تمہیں نصیحت کرتا ہے تاکہ تم یاد رکھو۔ مفسرین اس آیت کو پورے اخلاق کو ایک ہی جملے میں سمیٹنے والی سمجھتے ہیں: تین حکم اور تین ممانعتیں۔
