17:1

Glory to the One who carried His servant by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Farthest Mosque, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. The sūrah opens on the journey it is named for, and the commentaries note that the sentence begins by glorifying God rather than by praising the one carried. He is the Hearing, the Seeing.
