وَقُرْءَانًا فَرَقْنَٰهُ لِتَقْرَأَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ مُكْثٍ وَنَزَّلْنَٰهُ تَنزِيلًا
And a Recitation We have divided, so that you may recite it to people at intervals; and We sent it down, sending it down by stages. The commentaries read the dividing as the reason it could be carried and kept.
اور یہ ایسا قرآن ہے جسے ہم نے حصوں میں تقسیم کر کے نازل کیا تاکہ آپ اسے لوگوں پر ٹھہر ٹھہر کر پڑھ کر سنائیں، اور ہم نے اسے تھوڑا تھوڑا کر کے آہستہ آہستہ اتارا۔ مفسرین بیان کرتے ہیں کہ اسی تقسیم کی وجہ سے اسے یاد رکھنا اور آگے پہنچانا آسان ہو گیا۔
