وَيَقُولُونَ سُبْحَٰنَ رَبِّنَآ إِن كَانَ وَعْدُ رَبِّنَا لَمَفْعُولًا
Saying: glory to our Lord — our Lord's promise was bound to be fulfilled. The commentaries note that what they declare on falling down is not their own state but God's keeping of His word.
اور وہ کہتے ہیں: ہمارا رب ہر عیب اور کمی سے پاک ہے، ہمارے رب کا وعدہ تو ہر حال میں پورا ہو کر ہی رہنا تھا۔ مفسرین اس پر یہ نکتہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ سجدے میں گرتے ہوئے وہ جو کچھ کہتے ہیں وہ ان کی اپنی کیفیت نہیں بلکہ اللہ کے اپنا وعدہ پورا کرنے کا اعلان ہے۔
