سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يَقُولُونَ عُلُوًّا كَبِيرًا
Glory to Him, high above what they say, and far above it. The commentaries gloss what they say as the partners they had just been shown could not exist, so the exalting answers an argument rather than opening one.
وہ پاک ہے اور ان کی باتوں سے بہت بلند اور برتر ہے۔ مفسرین اس بات کی وضاحت کرتے ہیں کہ ان کی باتوں سے مراد وہی شریک ہیں جن کا وجود ابھی ثابت کیا جا چکا کہ ناممکن ہے، اس لیے یہ تنزیہ ایک دلیل کا جواب ہے، نئی بات کا آغاز نہیں۔
