إِنْ أَحْسَنتُمْ أَحْسَنتُمْ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ وَإِنْ أَسَأْتُمْ فَلَهَا فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعْدُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ لِيَسُـۥٓـُٔوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ وَلِيَدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْمَسْجِدَ كَمَا دَخَلُوهُ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَلِيُتَبِّرُوا۟ مَا عَلَوْا۟ تَتْبِيرًا
If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, it is against yourselves. So when the second came, it was that they should mar your faces and enter the place of worship as they entered it the first time, and destroy utterly whatever they overcame.
اگر تم نیکی کرو گے تو اپنے ہی لیے کرو گے، اور اگر برائی کرو گے تو وہ بھی تمہارے ہی خلاف ہوگی۔ چنانچہ جب دوسرا وعدہ آیا تو یہ اس لیے تھا کہ وہ تمہارے چہروں کو بگاڑ دیں اور اسی طرح مسجد میں داخل ہو جائیں جیسے پہلی بار داخل ہوئے تھے، اور جس چیز پر بھی غالب آئیں اسے بالکل تباہ و برباد کر دیں۔
