وَرَبَطْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ إِذْ قَامُوا۟ فَقَالُوا۟ رَبُّنَا رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ لَن نَّدْعُوَا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ إِلَٰهًا لَّقَدْ قُلْنَآ إِذًا شَطَطًا
And We made their hearts firm when they stood and said: our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. We will not call on any god besides Him — if we did we would have said something outrageous. The commentaries note the firmness is given before the standing, not after it.
اور ہم نے ان کے دلوں کو مضبوط کر دیا جب وہ کھڑے ہوئے اور کہا: ہمارا رب آسمانوں اور زمین کا رب ہے، ہم اس کے سوا کسی معبود کو کبھی نہیں پکاریں گے، ایسا کریں تو یہ ایک بے حد بڑھی ہوئی بات ہو گی۔ مفسرین نوٹ کرتے ہیں کہ مضبوطی ان کے کھڑے ہونے سے پہلے ہی دی گئی تھی، بعد میں نہیں۔
