لَّٰكِنَّا۠ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ رَبِّى وَلَآ أُشْرِكُ بِرَبِّىٓ أَحَدًا
But as for me — He is God, my Lord, and I set up no partner with my Lord. The commentaries note the answer is made in the first person: he does not argue the other man out of it, he states where he himself stands.
