وَإِنَّا لَجَٰعِلُونَ مَا عَلَيْهَا صَعِيدًا جُرُزًا
And We will make what is on it a bare stretch of dust. The commentaries set this directly against the āyah before: the same earth, described as adornment and then as what the adornment comes to.
