وَبَرًّۢا بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ وَلَمْ يَكُن جَبَّارًا عَصِيًّا
and was good to his parents, and he was not overbearing or disobedient. The commentaries read the list as covering what he owed to God, to his parents, and to everyone else, in that order.
