وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هَلْ تُحِسُّ مِنْهُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ أَوْ تَسْمَعُ لَهُمْ رِكْزًۢا
And how many generations We destroyed before them. Do you perceive a single one of them, or hear from them the faintest sound? The sūrah ends on the silence left where a people used to be.
اور ہم نے ان سے پہلے کتنی ہی نسلیں ہلاک کر دیں، کیا آپ ان میں سے کسی ایک کو بھی محسوس کرتے ہیں یا ان کی معمولی سی آہٹ بھی سنتے ہیں؟ سورت اسی خاموشی پر ختم ہوتی ہے جو وہاں چھوڑی گئی جہاں کبھی ایک قوم آباد تھی۔
