فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ فَزَادَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مَرَضًا وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْذِبُونَ
In their hearts is a disease - doubt and hypocrisy, which weakens a heart the way sickness weakens a body - and God increased them in that disease by what He kept sending down, since every fresh revelation only deepened their rejection. And theirs is a painful punishment for the lying they persisted in.
ان کے دلوں میں ایک بیماری ہے — یعنی شک اور نفاق، جو دل کو اسی طرح کمزور کرتی ہے جیسے بیماری جسم کو کمزور کرتی ہے — اور اللہ نے ان کی اس بیماری میں اضافہ کر دیا، اس چیز کے ذریعے جو وہ مسلسل نازل کرتا رہا، کیونکہ ہر نئی وحی نے ان کے انکار کو اور گہرا کر دیا۔ اور ان کے لیے دردناک عذاب ہے، اس جھوٹ کی وجہ سے جس پر وہ اڑے رہے۔
