مَّا يَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَلَا ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ أَن يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَٱللَّهُ يَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
Neither those who refuse among the People of the Book nor those who set up partners like that any good should be sent down to you from your Lord. But God singles out for His mercy whom He wills, and God is the possessor of great bounty. Their objection is to where the gift landed, and the answer is about whose gift it is to give.
نہ اہل کتاب میں سے وہ لوگ جنہوں نے کفر کیا اور نہ مشرکین یہ پسند کرتے ہیں کہ تم پر تمہارے رب کی طرف سے کوئی بھلائی نازل ہو۔ لیکن اللہ اپنی رحمت کے لیے جسے چاہے خاص کر لیتا ہے، اور اللہ بہت بڑے فضل والا ہے۔ ان کا اعتراض اس بات پر ہے کہ یہ عطیہ کہاں پہنچا، اور جواب اس بات پر ہے کہ یہ عطیہ کس کی ملکیت ہے۔
