وَقَالَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ لَيْسَتِ ٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ وَقَالَتِ ٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ لَيْسَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ وَهُمْ يَتْلُونَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِمْ فَٱللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا۟ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ
And the Jews say the Christians stand on nothing, and the Christians say the Jews stand on nothing - while they are both reciting the Book. Those who have no knowledge say the like of what they say. God will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning what they differed about. Each cancels the other while both hold a scripture; the judgment is deferred to the one who can make it.
اور یہود کہتے ہیں 'نصاریٰ کسی بنیاد پر نہیں ہیں'، اور نصاریٰ کہتے ہیں 'یہود کسی بنیاد پر نہیں ہیں' — حالانکہ وہ دونوں کتاب پڑھتے ہیں۔ اسی طرح جو لوگ نہیں جانتے وہ بھی انہی کی سی بات کہتے ہیں۔ سو اللہ ان کے درمیان قیامت کے دن اس بات کا فیصلہ کرے گا جس میں وہ اختلاف کرتے رہے۔ ہر ایک دوسرے کو رد کر رہا ہے جبکہ دونوں کے پاس کتاب موجود ہے؛ فیصلہ اسی کے لیے چھوڑ دیا گیا ہے جو واقعی فیصلہ کر سکتا ہے۔
