ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ يَتْلُونَهُۥ حَقَّ تِلَاوَتِهِۦٓ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِهِۦ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ
Those to whom We gave the Book, who recite it as it truly should be recited - those believe in it. And whoever rejects it, those are the losers. Reciting it as it should be recited is not about the voice: it is reading it as it came down, following it, treating what it permits as permitted and stopping where it stops.
جن لوگوں کو ہم نے کتاب دی، وہ اسے اس طرح پڑھتے ہیں جیسا اسے پڑھنے کا حق ہے، وہی لوگ اس پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں۔ اور جو اس کا انکار کرے تو یہی لوگ نقصان اٹھانے والے ہیں۔ صحیح تلاوت کا تعلق آواز سے نہیں ہے: یہ اسے اسی طرح پڑھنا ہے جیسے یہ نازل ہوئی، اس کی پیروی کرنا، اس کے حلال کیے ہوئے کو حلال جاننا، اور جہاں وہ رکتی ہے وہاں رک جانا۔
