رَبَّنَا وَٱجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِنَآ أُمَّةً مُّسْلِمَةً لَّكَ وَأَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَآ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
'Our Lord, and make us submitted to You, and from our offspring a community submitted to You; and show us our rites, and turn to us. You are the One who ever turns in forgiveness, the Merciful.' He asks for some of his offspring, not all of them - he had just been told that the covenant does not reach wrongdoers.
