وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ ءَامِنُوا۟ كَمَآ ءَامَنَ ٱلنَّاسُ قَالُوٓا۟ أَنُؤْمِنُ كَمَآ ءَامَنَ ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ أَلَآ إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ ٱلسُّفَهَآءُ وَلَٰكِن لَّا يَعْلَمُونَ
When they are told 'Believe as the people have believed' - the people here being the Companions of the Prophet - they answer, 'Shall we believe as the fools have believed?' God replies that they are the fools themselves, but they do not know it.
جب ان سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ 'ایمان لاؤ جیسے لوگوں نے ایمان لایا' — یہاں 'لوگوں' سے مراد نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے صحابہ ہیں — تو وہ جواب دیتے ہیں: 'کیا ہم اسی طرح ایمان لائیں جیسے بیوقوفوں نے ایمان لایا؟' اللہ جواب دیتا ہے کہ اصل بیوقوف یہی لوگ خود ہیں، مگر انہیں اس کا کچھ علم نہیں۔
