وَوَصَّىٰ بِهَآ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمُ بَنِيهِ وَيَعْقُوبُ يَٰبَنِىَّ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱصْطَفَىٰ لَكُمُ ٱلدِّينَ فَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ
And Abraham directed his sons to it, and so did Jacob: 'My sons, God has chosen the religion for you, so do not die except in submission to Him.' You cannot choose the hour, so what is really being commanded is to hold to it now and for the rest of your life.
اور ابراہیم نے اپنے بیٹوں کو اسی کی وصیت کی، اور یعقوب نے بھی: 'اے میرے بیٹو! بےشک اللہ نے تمہارے لیے یہ دین چن لیا ہے، سو تم فرمانبردار ہوئے بغیر ہرگز نہ مرنا۔' وقتِ موت انسان کے اختیار میں نہیں، تو اصل حکم یہی ہے کہ اسے ابھی اور زندگی بھر تھامے رکھو۔
