وَلَا تَقُولُوا۟ لِمَن يُقْتَلُ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ أَمْوَٰتٌۢ بَلْ أَحْيَآءٌ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تَشْعُرُونَ
And do not say of those who are killed in the way of God, 'They are dead.' Rather they are alive, but you do not perceive it. What is forbidden here is a word, and the reason given is that the word is simply not true.
اور جو اللہ کی راہ میں مارے جائیں انہیں 'مردہ' نہ کہو۔ بلکہ وہ زندہ ہیں، لیکن تمہیں شعور نہیں۔ یہاں جس چیز سے روکا گیا ہے وہ ایک لفظ ہے، اور اس کی وجہ یہ بتائی گئی ہے کہ وہ لفظ سیدھا سیدھا غلط ہے۔
