وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوا۟ لَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَتَبَرَّأَ مِنْهُمْ كَمَا تَبَرَّءُوا۟ مِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ يُرِيهِمُ ٱللَّهُ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ حَسَرَٰتٍ عَلَيْهِمْ وَمَا هُم بِخَٰرِجِينَ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ
And those who followed will say, 'If only we had one more turn, we would disown them as they have disowned us.' So God will show them their deeds as sources of regret for them - and they will not come out of the Fire. What they ask for is the chance to do to their leaders what was just done to them; what they are shown instead is their own record.
اور جن لوگوں نے پیروی کی وہ کہیں گے: 'کاش ہمیں ایک اور موقع مل جائے تو ہم بھی ان سے اسی طرح بیزاری ظاہر کریں جیسے انہوں نے ہم سے بیزاری ظاہر کی۔' اسی طرح اللہ انہیں ان کے اعمال حسرت بنا کر دکھائے گا، اور وہ آگ سے نکلنے والے نہیں۔ وہ جو مانگ رہے ہیں وہ یہ موقع ہے کہ اپنے رہنماؤں کے ساتھ وہی کریں جو ابھی ان کے ساتھ کیا گیا؛ اور اس کے بجائے انہیں جو دکھایا جاتا ہے وہ ان کا اپنا ریکارڈ ہے۔
