وَٱقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ ثَقِفْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَخْرِجُوهُم مِّنْ حَيْثُ أَخْرَجُوكُمْ وَٱلْفِتْنَةُ أَشَدُّ مِنَ ٱلْقَتْلِ وَلَا تُقَٰتِلُوهُمْ عِندَ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ حَتَّىٰ يُقَٰتِلُوكُمْ فِيهِ فَإِن قَٰتَلُوكُمْ فَٱقْتُلُوهُمْ كَذَٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
And kill them wherever you come upon them, and drive them out from where they drove you out - and persecution is worse than killing. But do not fight them at the Sacred Mosque unless they fight you there; then if they fight you, kill them. Such is the recompense of those who refuse. The reply is measured against the injury: they are to be driven from where they did the driving.
اور انہیں جہاں پاؤ قتل کرو، اور انہیں وہاں سے نکال دو جہاں سے انہوں نے تمہیں نکالا تھا — اور فتنہ قتل سے زیادہ سخت ہے۔ اور مسجدِ حرام کے پاس ان سے نہ لڑو جب تک وہ خود وہاں تم سے نہ لڑیں؛ پھر اگر وہ لڑیں تو انہیں قتل کر دو۔ کافروں کی سزا ایسی ہی ہے۔ جواب اسی نقصان کے مطابق ناپا گیا ہے: انہیں وہیں سے نکالا جائے جہاں سے انہوں نے نکالا تھا۔
